Shop and event looks

Your shop’s look comes from three choices: a theme, an accent color and a pair of fonts. You make them in the look studio, which shows your real shop while you try things out. Each event can follow the shop or wear its own look, so a techno night and a poetry reading by the same organizer each get their mood.

Themes

Theme What it looks like
Light White surfaces with dark text.
Dark Near-black surfaces with light text. New shops start with it.
Paper A warm off-white, like printed paper.
Midnight Deep blue.
Accent light Light surfaces tinted with your accent color.
Accent dark Dark surfaces tinted with your accent color.

The theme sets the colors of pages, cards and text across the shop. Form controls, maps and seat plans follow whether it is light or dark. It changes only your public shop: your own dashboard theme is in the menu behind your profile picture, top right.

Accent color

The accent color is used for links, buttons and highlights. Text on it switches between black and white so it stays readable. The two accent themes also take their surfaces from it, so changing the color changes the whole page. Pick one of the suggested colors or your own.

Fonts

Pick one font for headings and one for body text, in any combination. The library has 35 fonts in five groups: sans serif, display, serif, monospace and handwriting. Headings can use any of them, from the wide Unbounded or the poster capitals of Bebas Neue to Playfair Display or Caveat. Body text offers only the 14 faces that stay readable at paragraph length, such as Inter, DM Sans, Literata and Source Serif. New shops start with Geist for both.

Usetix hosts every font itself. Nothing is loaded from Google Fonts, so your buyers’ browsers do not contact another font service.

The look studio

Open Settings → Appearance and choose Design the look. The studio shows your real shop in a frame, with a dock of theme, color and font choices:

  • Every choice restyles the preview at once. You can click through the shop inside the frame.
  • Surprise me (the dice) picks another theme, a color and a font pairing that works. Roll until something sticks.
  • Switch between Desktop and Phone in the top bar to check both sizes.
  • Nothing is saved until you choose Save, which updates the live shop. Discard returns to the look you started with, and leaving with unsaved changes asks first.

The preview is quiet: it records no analytics, loads no marketing pixels and cannot check out. It also shows drafts and a shop that is not live yet, so you can design before you go live.

The accent color, logo and cover image are also on Settings → Appearance, under Brand.

Give an event its own look

Open the event, go to Event page and choose Design the look. The same studio opens on that event’s page. Theme, event color, heading font and body font can each stay Like the shop; those parts keep following the shop, including later changes.

  • The event’s look applies to its event page, its ticket embed, seat selection and lounge pages. Checkout and the rest of the shop keep the shop’s look.
  • The event color is also used on the event’s PDF ticket and Wallet pass. It is the same setting as Event color in the ticket design.
  • When the event has a flyer, From the flyer suggests its dominant color.

When you create an event, the composer shows a Look card under the flyer. It opens the same choices, and the page takes on the look while you choose: the theme’s colors, the heading font on the title and a wash of the flyer. Picking a flyer offers its color. Whatever you leave open follows the shop.

Co-organizers

External co-organizers can design the look of their assigned events in the event’s studio. Its preview shows only that event; drafts of other events stay hidden. The look of the whole shop stays with the venue’s owners and managers.

Let the assistant do it

Describe the mood instead of picking every detail:

  • “Make the shop feel like a late-night techno club.”
  • “Give the poetry reading a calm, bookish look that matches its flyer.”
  • “Use our brand red and something less playful for the headings.”

The assistant chooses a theme, an accent color, a characterful heading font and a readable body font, then says in one sentence what it chose and why. For an event, it starts from the flyer’s color. The assistant saves its choice right away, without the studio’s preview. Open the studio afterwards to fine-tune it, ask the assistant to change it back, or set an event’s parts to Like the shop again.

Connected MCP clients use the same tools: account_settings for the shop and manage_event_look for an event. See MCP. Integrations can read and set both looks through the Shop look API.
