This guide takes a new Usetix account from signup to a public event. You can leave and return at any point; the dashboard always shows the next required step.

1. Finish the account setup

Before the shop can go live:

  1. Confirm the account owner’s email address.
  2. Connect Stripe under Settings → Payments. The connected Stripe account determines the account currency.
  3. Add the billing address Usetix should use for platform-fee invoices.
  4. Add or link your imprint, privacy policy, and terms under Settings → Legal.

The dashboard marks each item complete. When all four are ready, you can activate the shop.

2. Create the event draft

Select New Event from the dashboard. Start with the essentials: title, date, venue, description, and at least one ticket type. A draft is private, so you can keep changing it without exposing an unfinished event.

For each ticket, set a clear name and price. Add stock or an overall event capacity when the venue has a real limit. You can add images, performers, checkout questions, scheduled ticket windows, and promo codes later.

3. Preview before publishing

Use the shop preview from the onboarding dashboard. Walk through it like a guest:

  • Is the event, venue, and timing clear?
  • Are the available tickets easy to understand?
  • Do the legal links and contact details look right?
  • Does the shop work on a phone?

The preview works while the account or event is still private.

4. Open the shop and publish the event

Activating the shop and publishing an event are separate controls. The shop must be live, and the individual event must be published, before it appears to buyers.

Publish the event from its admin page when its readiness checklist is complete. If the event should only be reachable through a direct invitation link, publish it and turn off List event in shop.

Use the direct event link when promoting one event. Use the shop link when visitors should browse several events. You can also embed the ticket box on your own website.
