Terms of Service

1. Service Description

Usetix is a ticketing platform operated by Screen Island GmbH that enables event organizers ("Organizers") to create, sell, and manage tickets for their events. Usetix provides the technical infrastructure for ticket sales and does not organize events itself.

2. Contractual Relationships

Important: The purchase contract for tickets is concluded exclusively between the Organizer and the ticket buyer ("Attendee"). Usetix acts solely as a technical service provider and is not a party to the ticket purchase contract.

Usetix is not responsible for:

• The event itself, including its execution, cancellation, or quality
• Claims between Organizers and Attendees
• Refund decisions made by Organizers
• Any disputes arising from event attendance

3. Fees and Payment

Usetix charges a fee of 1 EUR per sold ticket. This fee is earned at the time of sale and is non-refundable, regardless of:

• Subsequent refunds issued by the Organizer
• Chargebacks or payment disputes
• Event cancellation
• Any other reason for ticket invalidation

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. Stripe's fees are separate from Usetix fees and are subject to Stripe's own terms and pricing. Usetix has no control over Stripe's fees and does not receive any portion of them.

4. Service Availability

Usetix reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time, with or without notice. While we strive to provide reliable service, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

We may terminate or suspend access to our service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.

5. Organizer Responsibilities

Organizers are responsible for:

• The accuracy of event information
• Compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Handling customer service inquiries from Attendees
• Processing refunds when appropriate
• Maintaining their Stripe account in good standing

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Usetix and Screen Island GmbH shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Germany. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Germany.
